Description

Easy Sourdough Freezer Garlic Texas Toast Recipe with buttery garlic flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810 slices thick cut sourdough bread
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/4 shredded cheese per slice just before cooking (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take 8 to 10 thick slices of sourdough bread. Fresh or frozen both work. Crusts can be left on or removed based on preference.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, pinch of salt and grated parmesan cheese, until fully combined.
  3. Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Place the slices buttered side up on a baking sheet. Transfer to the freezer and freeze for 1 hour, or until solid.
  5. Transfer the frozen slices into a labeled freezer bag. Store flat in the freezer.
  6. Remove as many slices as needed straight from the freezer. Add cheese just before cooking if using. Cooking times are: Air Fryer: cook at 360°F for 6 to 7 minutes; Oven: bake at 350°F for 9 to 11 minutes. Serve warm.
