Description
This 5-Ingredient Stuffed Pepper Pasta combines the flavors of classic stuffed peppers with the ease of a one-pot meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 250 g (8 oz) pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 bell peppers (any color, chopped)
- 300 g (10 oz) ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 2 cups (480 ml) tomato sauce
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Optional but recommended: shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook the diced onion and chopped bell peppers for 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart, until fully browned (about 6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Pour in the tomato sauce. Stir well, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Add the cooked pasta into the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
- Serve warm as-is, or top with shredded cheese and let it melt before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be made with ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms.
