Description
A bold and easy pizza recipe featuring spicy-sweet hot honey drizzled over tangy feta and fresh toppings for a perfect balance of flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ball pizza dough (about 12 oz / 340g)
- 6 oz (170g) crumbled full-fat feta cheese
- 3–4 tablespoons hot honey (store-bought or homemade by warming honey with crushed red pepper flakes)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 oz (115g) fresh mozzarella, torn into pieces
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- A handful of fresh basil and oregano leaves
- 1 cup arugula (optional)
- Sea salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone in the oven if using, or prepare a baking sheet with a light dusting of flour or cornmeal.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to parchment paper if using a stone, or directly onto the baking sheet.
- Brush the dough generously with olive oil, especially around the edges. Scatter the thinly sliced garlic over the top.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta evenly over the dough, then add torn fresh mozzarella pieces. Season with sea salt, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and crisp and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Remove from oven and drizzle hot honey all over. Top with fresh herbs and arugula before serving.
