Description
Tender, juicy chicken breasts cooked to perfection and smothered in a rich, creamy honey butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, garlic, thyme, oregano, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large, oven-safe skillet or baking dish, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Spoon the honey butter mixture over the seared chicken, making sure to coat the tops and sides evenly.
- Transfer the skillet or baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the honey butter chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
