- 1 cup hazelnuts (soaked overnight)
- 2 cups water for blending
- 1 cup fresh plums (pitted and chopped)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the soaked hazelnuts and place them in a blender with 2 cups of fresh water.
- Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Strain the hazelnut milk into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the pulp.
- In the same blender, add the strained hazelnut milk, chopped plums, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon if using.
- Blend again until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if necessary.
- If using chia seeds, stir them in and let the milk sit for 10-15 minutes to thicken.
- Pour the Hazelnut Plum Garden Milk into glasses and enjoy chilled or over ice.
