Delicious Grilled Octopus with Smoked Paprika and Lemon Butter
Ingredients

- 1 gallon Water
- 1 whole Octopus
- 2 slices Lemon (for boiling)
- 4 cloves Garlic (smashed)
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Butter (unsalted)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed)
Instructions
- In a large pot, boil 1 gallon of water along with lemon slices and smashed garlic.
- Gently lower the octopus into the boiling water, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 45-60 minutes until tender.
- Let the octopus cool slightly before cutting it into segments. Marinate these pieces in olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated octopus for 3-4 minutes on each side until you see grill marks.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, then mix in the fresh lemon juice, zest, and chopped parsley. Stir until combined.
- Plate the grilled octopus, drizzle with the lemon butter sauce, and garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
