- 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard optional

Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and evenly spread the cubed bread inside.
- Sprinkle the diced ham or Canadian bacon evenly over the bread.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and press gently to soak.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and let casserole sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Bake uncovered for 40–50 minutes until golden and set in the center.
