Homemade Japanese Dorayakis


Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 25 g of water
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 50 g of wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp of baking powder
  • Your favorite filling (chocolate cream, anko, pistachio cream, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Add to a bowl: 1 egg, 40 g of sugar, 1 tsp of honey, 25 g of water, and 1 tbsp of oil. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Add 50 g of flour and 1/4 tsp of baking powder, then mix again until smooth.
  3. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Cook the pancakes one by one: – Add 2 tbsp of batter to the pan (circle of about 8 cm) – Cook one side until bubbles appear on the surface – Flip and cook for another 30 seconds – Repeat until all the batter is used.
  6. Fill one pancake with your preferred filling (leaving space at the edges) and close it with another pancake, pressing the edges.
  7. Serve at room temperature or chilled from the fridge. Done!
