Crispy Halloumi Fries That Make Every Snack a Celebration

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 grams Halloumi Cheese
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Begin by slicing the halloumi cheese into 1.5 cm thick fries.
  2. Mix together all-purpose flour, paprika, and cumin on a separate plate.
  3. Carefully roll each halloumi fry in the flour mixture.
  4. In a large frying pan, pour enough olive oil to cover the bottom, about ¼ inch deep.
  5. Gently place half of the coated halloumi fries into the pan.
  6. Fry the fries for approximately 2–3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the crispy halloumi fries from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve immediately while they are still hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Substitute halloumi with firm, non-melting cheeses if unavailable.
  • Opt for gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
  • Try smoked paprika for an extra flavor kick.
  • Oregano can be used instead of cumin for a different flavor.
