  • 6 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp, then drain.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add chopped bacon, and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
  5. Sauté minced garlic in the skillet for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, onion powder, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  7. Combine blanched green beans, bacon, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the cream mixture in a large mixing bowl.
  8. Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, top with remaining Parmesan cheese and French fried onions.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
