Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Allow to sit until frothy. Mix in melted butter, beaten egg, and flour until a dough forms.
  2. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare cranberry filling by simmering fresh cranberries, sugar, and orange juice until thick. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter, sugar, and orange zest. Spread cooled cranberry filling and roll tightly.
  5. Cut rolled dough into 12 equal pieces and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30-45 minutes.
