Description

Easy Chinese Dumplings Recipe


Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g of minced meat
  • 1 carrot
  • 170g of cabbage
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 10g of ginger
  • 60mL of soy sauce
  • Olive oil
  • 300g of wheat flour
  • 160mL of water
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. Chop the carrot and cabbage.
  2. In a bowl, mix the meat with the vegetables, salt, and soy sauce.
  3. Mix the flour, water, and salt.
  4. Knead for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Adjust with water or flour until the dough does not stick to your fingers.
  6. Flour the work surface well.
  7. Roll the dough into a ‘sausage’ shape (about 3cm in diameter).
  8. Cut the ‘sausage’ into pieces about 1/2 cm thick.
  9. Flour all pieces and roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
  10. Heat a non-stick pan and add a splash of oil.
  11. Add the dumplings.
  12. Add water until it covers half of the dumplings.
  13. Cover and let boil (over medium/high heat).
  14. When there is little cooking water left, remove the lid and add another splash of oil.
  15. Lower the heat slightly and wait for them to brown.

  • Adjust the filling ingredients to your taste.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
