  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch (lightly crushed)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare
  2. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  4. Make the Apple Filling
  5. In a large bowl, combine:
  6. Apples
  7. Granulated sugar & brown sugar
  8. Cinnamon
  9. Vanilla extract
  10. Lemon juice
  11. Cornstarch
  12. Toss until apples are well coated.
  13. Transfer mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  14. Prepare the Crunch Topping
  15. In another bowl, mix:
  16. Crushed cereal
  17. Flour
  18. Brown sugar
  19. Cinnamon & salt
  20. Pour in melted butter and stir until crumbly.
  21. Assemble
  22. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  23. Bake
  24. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until:
  25. Apples are soft
  26. Topping is golden and crisp
  27. Cool & Serve
  28. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
