Instructions
- Beat the softened unsalted butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and salt. Start mixing on low speed, then increase to medium speed until well combined.
- Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, adding more cream if needed.
- Roll the buttercream into small balls or pipe rosettes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Melt the chopped chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- If using, stir in the coconut oil or vegetable oil into the melted chocolate.
- Dip each chilled buttercream into the melted chocolate, ensuring full coating.
- Place the chocolate-dipped buttercreams back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add a sprinkle of freeze-dried strawberry dust or a drizzle of white chocolate if desired.
- Let sit at room temperature until the chocolate coating is firm, or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
