  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream cold
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder optional
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream cold
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line pan.
  2. Mix butter and sugars until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine dry ingredients separately.
  5. Fold dry into wet and add chocolate chips.
  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes and cool.
  7. Whip cream and add sugar and vanilla.
  8. Fold in melted chocolate.
  9. Spread mousse and chill.
  10. Whip topping to stiff peaks.
  11. Spread topping evenly.
  12. Add chocolate garnish.
  13. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
