  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup (240 ml) ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Optional: chili flakes (for heat)
  • Optional: brown sugar (for sweetness)
  • Optional: lemon juice (for tanginess)

Instructions

  1. Preheat to 300°F (150°C). Remove membrane from ribs and pat dry.
  2. Rub olive oil over ribs, then coat with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Let ribs rest for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Place ribs on a baking tray, cover with foil, and bake for 2.5–3 hours until tender.
  5. Mix ketchup, honey, vinegar, mustard, and smoked paprika.
  6. Brush ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
  7. Return to oven or grill uncovered for 10–15 minutes until caramelized.
