Description

Sweet, salty, and irresistibly crispy, these bacon-wrapped smokies are the ultimate party appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sliced bacon (cut into thirds)
  • 1 lb little smokies
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed baking tray with foil and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, paprika, and black pepper. Set the mixture aside.
  3. Take a piece of bacon and wrap it around one of the smokies. Secure it with a toothpick, then place it on the prepared tray. Repeat with the remaining sausages and bacon.
  4. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture over the bacon-wrapped smokies.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip each smoky over, sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar mixture, and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
