  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour chicken broth into a pot and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onion, minced garlic, ginger coins, and chicken fillets to the pot.

  12. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh egg noodles for the best texture.
  • Adjust fish sauce and sugar to balance the flavor to your preference.
  • Consider adding bean sprouts or bok choy for extra crunch during the last minute of cooking.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute vegetable broth and tofu.
  • Fish sauce can be substituted with salt if unavailable, or use a vegetarian fish sauce.
