Ingredients

  • Pink, red, and white food coloring

Instructions

  2. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients until dough forms.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut with heart-shaped cutters.
  7. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, until just set.
  9. Cool completely before decorating.
  10. Decorate with icing, colors, and sprinkles as desired.
