- 2–3 lbs tri-tip roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, thyme, and rosemary.
- Rub the tri-tip roast with olive oil and then coat it evenly with the spice mixture.
- Place the tri-tip on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove the tri-tip from the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
