- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup ice water
- 4 banana kepok
- 1/2 cup chocolate spread
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Gradually pour in the cold ice water while mixing until the batter is smooth.
- Add melted butter and vanilla extract into the batter. Stir until combined.
- Fold in black sesame seeds gently. Cover batter with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Peel the banana kepok and set them aside.
- In a frying pan, heat enough oil over medium heat until hot.
- Grease a sheet of baking paper with a hint of oil.
- Place a peeled banana on the greased baking paper and roll it up.
- Flatten the wrapped banana on a cutting board, then dip into the chilled batter.
- Lower the coated banana into hot oil and fry until half-cooked, then dip it again and fry until golden brown.
- Once golden and crispy, cut a small opening on top of each fritter and fill with chocolate spread.
