- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk together until smooth and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the finely chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Form small balls of dough (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly golden but the tops remain pale.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.
- While still warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Once cooled, roll them in powdered sugar again before serving.
