Irresistible Strawberry Cream Cheese Heart Danishes

- 1 package store-bought puff pastry (usually 2 sheets), thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour a surface, roll out puff pastry to smooth seams, and cut into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of filling into the center of each heart, leaving a border.
- Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over the filling.
- Gently fold edges, press to seal, and brush lightly with egg wash.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, rotating halfway, until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm or at room temperature.
