Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a surface, roll out puff pastry to smooth seams, and cut into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of filling into the center of each heart, leaving a border.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over the filling.
  6. Gently fold edges, press to seal, and brush lightly with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, rotating halfway, until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm or at room temperature.
