Spicy Mexican Donkey Balls are a delicious and unique appetizer that will transport your taste buds to a fiesta in Mexico.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and breadcrumbs to the meat mixture and mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Scoop heaping tablespoon-sized portions of the meat mixture and roll them into balls.
  4. In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Working in batches, carefully add the meatballs to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Transfer the fried meatballs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  7. Serve the Spicy Mexican Donkey Balls warm, with your favorite dipping sauces or toppings.
