- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 8 oz linguine
- 4 tbsp butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1/4 cup shredded provolone
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Season chicken slices with salt and black pepper.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream. Gradually stir in the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and provolone until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the cheese sauce and toss until fully coated.
- Slice the cooked chicken and arrange it over the linguine.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
