Description
Savory Parmesan garlic quick bread made in a slow cooker. A simple bake yielding delicious slices.

- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/8 cup cornmeal
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, instant yeast, garlic salt, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Measure the water and incorporate the minced garlic into the water.
- Pour the garlic-infused water into the dry ingredients. Stir until the flour is fully hydrated and a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let the dough proof at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours.
- Sprinkle cornmeal over parchment paper. Transfer the sticky dough onto the parchment and shape into a round loaf. Sprinkle more cornmeal on top and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rest for 1/2 hour.
- Preheat the slow cooker on high for 5 minutes. Remove plastic wrap from the dough and use parchment to transfer it to the slow cooker. Tuck excess parchment edges for a secure lid fit.
- Place paper towels over the slow cooker and position the lid on top to absorb condensation.
- Cook the bread on high for 2 hours. Carefully remove from the slow cooker.
- For a brown and crispy crust, transfer the bread to a preheated oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
