Description
Enjoy this delightful sharbat, a traditional Persian drink bursting with floral notes, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Sugar (Feel free to swap with honey or maple syrup for a natural alternative.)
- 1 cup Water (Adjust quantity to find your perfect dilution.)
- 1 tablespoon Rosewater (Consider using orange blossom water for a different floral twist.)
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (Lime juice works wonderfully too.)
- 2 tablespoons Dried Rose Petals (Edible marigolds or pansies can offer a vibrant splash of color.)
- 1 cup Fresh Fruit Puree (Try watermelon or peach for a refreshing twist.)
- 1 cup Additional Citrus Juices (Experiment with grapefruit or lime.)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely, creating a simple syrup. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
- In a pitcher, mix the cooled syrup with rosewater and lemon juice. Stir well until everything is blended together.
- Fill tall glasses with ice, then pour the sharbat mixture over the ice. Garnish each glass with dried rose petals or a slice of lemon.
- Enjoy your sharbat immediately or store it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
