Description

Shamrock Shake pie is a creamy, minty and simple no-bake pie that tastes just like the iconic McDonald’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed shake.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 11/2 cups 2% milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 9-inch graham cracker crust
  • Whipped cream and maraschino cherries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the instant vanilla pudding mix to a large bowl. Add the milk and peppermint extract, then whisk vigorously for two minutes, until the pudding is smooth.
  2. Add the food coloring, one drop at a time, stirring well between additions, until you achieve a light green color.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping. Add more green food coloring if necessary.
  4. Spoon the filling into the graham cracker crust and smooth with an offset spatula.
  5. Cover the pie and place it in the freezer until firm, at least four hours.
  6. Garnish the pie or each slice with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry, then serve.

Notes

  • Let the pudding sit for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
  • If you don’t have green food coloring, mix equal amounts of yellow and blue food coloring.
  • Ensure the whipped topping is completely thawed before folding it in.
