- 500g ground beef
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 medium carrots diced
- 1 cup green peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce optional
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Finely chop onion, garlic, and carrots, and prepare all ingredients before cooking.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until soft, then stir in garlic and cook briefly.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add carrots and cook for a few minutes until slightly softened.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook briefly to enhance flavor.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
- Gradually add beef stock while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes until thickened.
- Add peas and cook for a few more minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot with your preferred side.

- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or toast.
