Easy Pioneer Woman Classic Lasagna is a rich, hearty, and comforting dish layered with savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella.

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 14 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and lay flat to prevent sticking.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes. Season with Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20–25 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg, half the parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and topping with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with remaining parsley.
