- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle yeast and let foam.
- Add egg, butter, salt and gradually mix in flour.
- Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise until doubled in size.
- Prepare caramel with butter, sugar, cream, vanilla and salt.
- Pour caramel into pan and add pecans.
- Roll dough into rectangle.
- Spread butter and cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll into log and slice into 12 pieces.
- Arrange rolls in pan and let rise again.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
- Cool slightly and invert before serving.
