  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Freshly chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the orzo and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly toasted.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant.
  3. Carefully pour in the broth and bring it to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, butter, parmesan cheese, and salt. Continue stirring until the orzo becomes creamy and the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley, freshly cracked black pepper, and extra parmesan if desired.
