A quick and indulgent salty-sweet cracker toffee that’s perfect for parties and potlucks.

- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt (for finishing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, leaving extra hanging over the sides. Arrange Ritz crackers in a single layer.
- In a medium saucepan, combine unsalted butter and brown sugar. Melt over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
- Bring to a rolling boil for 2-3 minutes while stirring.
- Pour the hot caramel evenly over the crackers, spreading quickly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the caramel is bubbly and glossy.
- Remove from the oven and scatter chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to melt.
- Spread melted chocolate into a smooth layer using a spatula.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
