- 1 cup refried beans, warmed
- 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup pico de gallo
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
- 1 avocado, mashed or sliced
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill or skillet-sear the steak until fully cooked, then slice into thin strips.
- Warm tostada shells lightly if desired.
