  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tbsp. softened butter
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 ⅞ tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 6 slices crispy bacon
  • 4 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, gently massage the ground breakfast sausage until well combined. Form the mixture into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper for flavor.
  2. Heat your grill pan over medium heat and cook the sausage patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, crack the 6 eggs and whisk together. Pour in the whole milk and continue whisking until well combined.
  4. Coat a large pan with softened butter. Pour in a quarter of the egg mixture and cook over low heat until set. Flip and cook for another minute.
  5. Carefully fold the omelette into thirds, then shape it into a square. Repeat with the remaining egg mixture to make 4 omelettes.
  6. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk, one egg, melted butter, and maple syrup, stirring until smooth.
  7. Heat a non-stick pan with butter. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of pancake batter onto the pan and cook until bubbles form. Flip and cook for another minute, repeating until you have 8 pancakes.
  8. Fry the bacon in a separate pan until crispy.
  9. Assemble your McGriddles starting with one pancake, adding a slice of cheese, sausage patty, omelette, and crispy bacon, then top with another pancake.
  10. Repeat to create a total of 4 McGriddles. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving if desired.
