Description
Classic, chewy chocolate chip cookies made with simple pantry ingredients and plenty of semisweet chips.
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.
- Whisk flour and baking soda.
- Beat butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add salt, vanilla, and eggs. Mix to combine.
- Add flour mixture gradually.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
- Bake 8–10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on pan, then transfer to rack.
