- 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (Optional; omit if sensitive to spice.)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Sea salt or kosher salt works well.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly cracked for better flavor.)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated) (Can substitute with Pecorino Romano.)
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded) (Cheddar can be used for stronger taste.)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice (White wine vinegar can substitute.)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish) (Basil or chives can be used.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and dry them thoroughly.
- Combine olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Toss the broccoli florets in the oil mixture until they’re evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the oven for 15 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.
- Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella over the broccoli.
- Return to the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
- Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the broccoli.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
