Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of ground chicken
- 1/4 cup of panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- a dash of non-alcoholic Worcestershire sauce
- beef bacon
- slider buns (brioche or potato rolls preferred)
- 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- cheese slices (sharp cheddar, smoked gouda, provolone, or Swiss)
- toppings like crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, and tangy pickle chips
Instructions
- Prepare Your Beef Bacon: Lay your beef bacon strips in a single layer on a baking sheet and cook in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes until crispy. Alternatively, cook in a skillet over medium heat and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
- Mix the Chicken Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with hands until just combined.
- Form the Patties: Divide the chicken mixture into 10-12 equal portions and form each portion into a small, flat patty, making a slight indentation in the center.
- Cook the Chicken Patties: Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Whip Up the Maple Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer over medium-low heat for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Glaze and Melt: Return the cooked chicken patties to the skillet and brush each with the maple glaze. Top with a slice of cheese and cover to melt.
- Assemble Your Sliders: Toast slider buns if desired. Spread condiment on the bottom bun, add a glazed chicken patty, crispy beef bacon, and toppings. Crown with the top bun and serve immediately.
