- 1 cup powdered sugar for frosting

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
- Fold in poppy seeds.
- Fill cupcake liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
- For frosting: Blend blackberries. Whisk butter and powdered sugar. Add blackberry puree.
- Frost cupcakes when cooled.
