Description
This French Dip Crescents recipe is the perfect combination of flaky, buttery pastry and savory roast beef, all served with a rich au jus for dipping.

- 225 g 8 oz deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
- 4 slices provolone cheese (cut in halves)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- 1 cup 240 ml beef broth
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- Pinch black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven.
- Heat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle if using.
- Place ½ slice provolone cheese on each triangle.
- Add a portion of roast beef on top of the cheese.
- Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle toward the tip.
- Place on the baking sheet, tip side down.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, parsley.
- Brush mixture over each crescent.
- Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and flaky.
- In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pepper.
- Heat until warm (do not boil).
- Serve crescents warm with au jus dip on the side.
