Description

Lazy Beef and Broccoli is a delicious stir-fry that brings together tender beef flank steak and crisp broccoli florets in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Chop broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and a splash of water to make the sauce.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté beef in batches until browned but not fully cooked (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add broccoli and prepared sauce to the skillet; stir well for about 2 minutes until broccoli is bright green.
  5. Cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium-low for 5 minutes to steam the broccoli until fork-tender.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles, drizzling additional sauce as desired.
