Ingredients

- 2 cups short-grain rice, cooked and cooled
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 scallions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked and cooled rice, gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until the rice is evenly coated.
- Scoop a heaping tablespoon of the rice mixture and gently shape it into a compact ball with your hands.
- Roll the rice ball in the chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds, pressing gently to help the toppings adhere.
- Repeat the process with the remaining rice mixture to make approximately 12 rice balls.
- Serve the Korean Rice Balls (Jumeokbap) immediately, with a small dish of soy sauce for dipping, if desired.
