- 1 pound flank steak or sirloin steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon mirin (or rice wine)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice or medium-grain white rice
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms (or cremini)
- 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mirin, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Add sliced steak and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté red onion for 2-3 minutes, then add red bell pepper and broccoli. Cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add shiitake mushrooms and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add marinated steak to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
- Divide cooked rice among serving bowls. Arrange sautéed vegetables over one side of the rice and Korean BBQ steak on the other side.
- Drizzle Korean BBQ sauce over steak and vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and kimchi. Top with fried egg and serve immediately.

- For more flavor, marinate steak for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
