Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose black tea
- 3 crushed cardamom pods or ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ½ cinnamon stick (crushed) or ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 dried ginger slice (crushed) or ¼ teaspoon ginger powder or ¼ inch piece of fresh ginger (grated)

- ½ cup milk (whole milk or evaporated milk)

Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a low boil. Add cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and saffron (if using). Let it simmer for 2 minutes to infuse the flavors.
