Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Oreo crumbs (crushed from about 20 Oreos)
- 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
- 12 oz Cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
- 6 tbsp Milk
- 1 3/4 cups Heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 3/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 4 tsp Instant espresso powder
- 8 pieces Oreo cookies (filling removed and broken into large pieces)
- 2 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
- Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.
- Combine Oreo crumbs and melted butter in a small bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan. Place the crust in the freezer to set while you prepare the filling.
- In a small bowl, mix warm water and espresso powder until dissolved. Set this flavorful mixture aside for later use.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat room temperature cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the Kahlua, milk, and the dissolved espresso mixture to the cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, pour in the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in two parts.
- Spoon about 1/3 of the filling into the prepared crust, then add half of the large pieces of Oreo cookies. Repeat this layering process one more time.
- Top the pie with the remaining filling. Cover and freeze for 4-5 hours or until firm.
- Once frozen, carefully remove the pie from the springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, add chocolate chips. Heat the heavy cream until steaming, then pour it over the chocolate. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and whisk until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate topping evenly over the pie.
- Keep the pie in the freezer until ready to serve.
- When ready to serve, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and Kahlua until it holds its shape.
- Drizzle the Kahlua cream and chocolate sauce over your slices as you serve!
- Keep any leftover ice cream pie in the freezer.
