Indulge in Kahlua Ice Cream Pie: A Dreamy Dessert Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Oreo crumbs (crushed from about 20 Oreos)
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 12 oz Cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
  • 6 tbsp Milk
  • 1 3/4 cups Heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 3/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 4 tsp Instant espresso powder
  • 8 pieces Oreo cookies (filling removed and broken into large pieces)
  • 2 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.
  2. Combine Oreo crumbs and melted butter in a small bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan. Place the crust in the freezer to set while you prepare the filling.
  3. In a small bowl, mix warm water and espresso powder until dissolved. Set this flavorful mixture aside for later use.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat room temperature cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the Kahlua, milk, and the dissolved espresso mixture to the cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  6. In a separate bowl, pour in the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in two parts.
  8. Spoon about 1/3 of the filling into the prepared crust, then add half of the large pieces of Oreo cookies. Repeat this layering process one more time.
  9. Top the pie with the remaining filling. Cover and freeze for 4-5 hours or until firm.
  10. Once frozen, carefully remove the pie from the springform pan.
  11. In a medium bowl, add chocolate chips. Heat the heavy cream until steaming, then pour it over the chocolate. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and whisk until smooth.
  12. Pour the chocolate topping evenly over the pie.
  13. Keep the pie in the freezer until ready to serve.
  14. When ready to serve, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and Kahlua until it holds its shape.
  15. Drizzle the Kahlua cream and chocolate sauce over your slices as you serve!
  16. Keep any leftover ice cream pie in the freezer.
