Description

Irresistible Jalapeno Poppers with Bacon – The Ultimate Party Appetizer. These poppers are spicy, creamy, smoky, and perfectly crispy without deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeds removed
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 12 slices turkey bacon or beef bacon, halved
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Toothpicks (optional, for securing bacon)
  • Extras: shredded cheddar, herbs, or chives for extra flavor
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or foil
  • Mixing bowl
  • Small spoon/knife (for coring)
  • Oven mitts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix cream cheese and garlic powder (if using) in a bowl.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Wrap each filled jalapeño with a half slice of bacon.
  5. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until bacon is crispy.
  8. Serve warm with your choice of dips or sides.
  9. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  10. Freeze unbaked poppers and bake from frozen, adding 5–7 minutes.

Notes

  • Remove seeds and membranes for less heat.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for richness.
  • Thin-cut bacon crisps better than thick-cut.
  • Add cooked sausage or ground turkey for extra flavor.
  • Drizzle with hot honey after baking.
  • Top with crushed tortilla chips for added crunch.
  • Prepare filling 2–3 days in advance.
  • Assemble up to 1 day ahead before baking.
