- 24 cocktail sausages (pork, beef, chicken, or vegetarian)
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (packed light brown sugar)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Optional: 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Slice each sheet into 24 strips about 1 inch wide.
- Place one cocktail sausage at the end of each pastry strip and roll tightly, sealing edges with a bit of water if needed. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beaten egg, honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth.
- Brush the glaze generously over each wrapped sausage. Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is puffed and golden brown. Tent with foil if glaze darkens too quickly.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving warm.
