- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fruit (for serving)
- Pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice
- Splash of heavy cream

Instructions
- Cut each slice into 3–4 vertical sticks. Use day-old bread if possible.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and optional sugar.
- Add butter or spray to a skillet over medium heat.
- Quickly dip each stick into the mixture and place on the hot pan. Do not oversoak.
- Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
- Plate immediately with syrup, fruit, powdered sugar, or yogurt.
