- 6 pieces Croissants
- 8 oz Deli Ham, roughly chopped
- 1 cup Cheese (Swiss, Cheddar, or a mix)
- 1 cup Milk (whole milk preferred)
- 6 large Eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Herbs (chopped fresh parsley or thyme)
- 2 tbsp Butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Tear each croissant into irregular 1–2 inch pieces and spread half in the dish.
- Scatter half the ham and half the cheese over the croissant layer. Sprinkle half the herbs.
- Add the remaining croissant pieces, then top with the rest of the ham, cheese, and herbs.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and honey until smooth and slightly frothy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered croissants, pressing gently so pieces absorb liquid. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to soak.
- Dot the top with small butter pieces or brush with honey-butter mixture.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the center is set. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a browned top if desired.
- Rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
