Ingredients
- Fresh green beans (or frozen/canned)
- Cream of mushroom soup
- Whole milk (or 2% milk/non-dairy milk)
- Diced onions
- French fried onions
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh green beans, trim the ends and blanch them in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside. If using frozen beans, ensure they’re thawed, and if using canned, drain them well.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and diced onions. Stir until well blended.
- Fold the prepared green beans into the soup mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste, ensuring all the green beans are coated evenly.
- Pour the green bean mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of French fried onions over the top of the green bean mixture.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
